Annapurna Skyline Trek is a well-liked trekking route in Nepal’s Annapurna region. The Annapurna Panorama Trek is also referred to as the Royal Trek because British Prince Charles hiked this route in 1980. In addition to providing amazing views of some of the highest peaks in the world, such as Dhaulagiri (8167 m), Machapuchare (6993 m), and Annapurna, it also gives visitors the chance to explore the local villages and culture.

The hike passes through terraced fields, breathtaking scenery, and thick forests of rhododendron. Depending on the season, you can also take in a vivid display of rhododendron flowers in bloom. The trek is not as difficult in terms of altitude because it takes you to the picturesque Poon Hill viewpoint above 3210 m in a short amount of time from below 3000 m on this remarkable short Annapurna sunrise trek. Hikers can enjoy breathtaking sunrise views over a wide range of Himalayan mountains at Poon, including the renowned fishtail peaks of Manaslu and Lamjung Himalayan in the northeast and the Annapurna range with the tall peaks of Machhapuchare.

Beginning with a picturesque drive past the picturesque Pokhara city and its lovely valley, the short Annapurna Skyline Trek heads towards the foothills and through the ancient Trans-Himalayan Salt Trade of Nepal and Tibet, which continues further Ghorepani towards upper Mustang. After experiencing a wonderful time and being in high spirits due to the captivating views and learning about the remarkable villagers’ culture, we will wrap up our amazing short Annapurna Skyline Trek and stroll at Kande after passing by lovely and amazing locations.

Accommodation and Foods

A teahouse is a mix of restaurant, guest house, and hangout for people. The rooms are simple, with twin beds and minimal extra furniture. The lodges offer a range of culinary options, from regional Nepali dishes to international cuisines, though they are rather simple. Except for high altitudes, private rooms are available at some of the teahouses.

Altitude Sickness

Altitude sickness usually happens when you ascend to a high altitude too quickly. At high altitudes, your body tries to adapt to the lower oxygen levels and lower air pressure, which can cause symptoms like fatigue, headaches, and nausea. One should take the initiative to inform the guide as soon as possible about this illness.

Best time to trek

For the Annapurna Skyline Trek, spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are the ideal times to go. The weather is stable, the temperatures are pleasant, and the stunning views of the mountains are made possible by the clear skies. Rhododendrons are among the many wild flowers that are in bloom as nature begins to regain its once-beautiful state. Gorgeous flowers create vibrant hills all around the forests.
